Having spent the early years of my childhood in El Salvador I wanted to inject my own memories and feelings in to the photos I was taking. Trying to create an image or moment full of feeling. I was interested in more than 'taking' a picture, I wanted to 'make' a picture.
Creating images with spontaneous narratives of a land full of volcanoes, lakes, culture and its people. Rejecting the touristic cliches, showing the often overlooked beauty and dignity of the people and landscapes of a country with a dark past but with a resolve to move forward with their characteristic smiles and resilience.
